So I decided to hook my Ipod to my desktop which runs XP. I generally hook it up to my laptop, but for some reason I ended up with 3 gigs of music on my desktop. So, I install Itunes and forget about it for a couple of days. This morning I go to plug my Ipod in and notice a windows update. Oh well, so I plug my Ipod in and my computer freezes up. WTF? I unplug it, whamo computer runs fine. Weird.
Lookup that some people reconfig their Ipod to work on XP machines. Well, screw that, I just want the files off their and I'll put them on my laptop which is Vista. So I grab my flash drive and, bam! Computer freezes. WTF? I uninstall Itunes and restart. Plug in flash, "there was a problem loading external device" or some sheit. Anyway, flash drive stopped working. I use device manager to try and find the driver, nothing. I look on the internet, no driver. Piece of crap update is what I am thinking. Any ideas? The driver works in other computers. And, after some effort works in one usb port but not the other? Any ideas apart from putting tape over the bad port?
Thanks
