McCain completely bungled the point that GOP pundits have articulated about Ayers. For GOPers, Ayers is part of a pattern of judgement, not just about the man his self. McCain should have never broached the subject because he can't explain the significance that Ayers has for the GOP base.

In one breath McCain says Obama threatened to unilaterally renegotiate our NAFTA and in the next said he wants to build new nuclear plants by reprocessing our spent nuclear fuel.... which we don't do now why?

I have a cousin with autism, I am very close with that part of my familly. Autism is not an issue for presidential politics, it is shameless pandering and pisses me off.

Well, I watched the debate under the influence of a couple of glasses of hot spiced wine--which I heartily endorse...oooh, he mentioned Joe the Plumber again, take a shot...anyway, McCain has some pointy eyebrows, doesn't he? Very Star Trek.

On the other hand, IIRC America DID NOT INVENT THE AUTOMOBILE, Obama. Henry Ford invented the assembly line, but the four-stroke engine used in cars was invented by a German named Otto.
