I just had a thought. Cutlery Corner is a Korean company, right? Wouldn't it be cheaper to have the knives dropped shipped directly to Bohol, rather than to pay to have them shipped to Oregon and then tote them across the Pacific?

I would think so, but imported stuff is always pretty spendy in the Phils, don't know why. Maybe volume. They send a million knives a month to the US...
Stuff from the Phils is cheap enough because they have to price it low enough to be affordable to Filipinos. Stuff from outside is all luxury stuff, not so in the US.
Other than that, I haven't a clue.
It's like the Nike shoes. All made in asain sweat shops and sold there to rich kids for $70 a pair. We buy them 70% off the cleaance price here for $17 if we buy them at all. Then we bring them to the Phils as gifts. The girls are thrilled to get them because they're $70 Nikes. If you're getting paid $3 a day, and you have to feed yourself and contribute to the family as well, they are once in a lifetime luxury gifts.Long time member @ Apolyton

Well, Cutlery Corner is a show on the HSN or some such, not necessarily Korean, since they sell a bunch of different brands?
I mean, unless you're going to say Victorinox is Korean, which, then, by all means continue...B♭3
