    Of the choices, Heat.

But lots of missed opportunities for choices
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Youtube link to the LA Confidential fightout scene? I can't really judge between them on short notice.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

LA Confidential had a cool shootout scene. Two policemen, one with a revolver pistol and the other with a shotgun, fighting their way out of an ambush at a clapboard motel. At one point, the shotgunner bashes in some floorboards and crawls underneath the floor to shoot out the legs of their assailants outside, and the pistoleer inside takes advantage of their discomfiture by shooting them in the chests through windows.

That movie was really good but it was hard to catch all the plot twists and developments the first viewing through. I had to watch it a few more times in order to keep things straight.

would be my choice. LeFlores wasn't out there. We'll be ok.

I liked the first shoot-out when they kidnapped the girl. The stand-offs and tricks were clever.
                  John Brown did nothing wrong.

Of the two, I voted for Heat .

                    Two old school choices:

Bonnie and Clyde - car shootout

                    The Godfather - toolbooth
And indeed there will be time To wonder, "Do I dare?" and, "Do I dare?". t s eliot

Best shootout ever is near the end of Unforgiven between the sheriff and his crew and Clint Eastwood. Afterwards, the writer asked how Eastwood decided the order for shooting his opponents and he says "Just lucky, I guess."

Use a shotgun, that way you don't need clips.
