OK, so I was watching this internet tv interview of a French economist, and a journalist asked him: "Why don't tv and press invite you to talk more often?"
"Let's say it is very badly seen, in France, not to permanently say evil about Mr. Putin and Mr Putin's Russia. I can't do anything about it, it's an economy which is going well. I can't do anything about it, Mr Putin may have an ugly face to a certain number of persons, but, from the point of view of state reconstruction and economic reconstruction in Russia, he did a rather good job, and I as an expert, cannot not say it." (Jacques Sapir on http://www.arretsurimages.net which has the drawbacks of requiring paiment to view content and be in French - French readers can at least read this: http://regulation.revues.org/document4032.html which is not about Russia but give an idea of who the guy is).
I read recently an interview of Saakashvili in a French journal and was a bit pissed off because every presentation of Russia/Georgia is, indeed, biased against Russia. Not that I like Putin or Medvedev particularly, but there's enough evidence that French journalists aren't being fair to Russia that I'm really starting to get angry at them (the journalists). (French readers can also read this: http://lesooc.over-blog.com/article-22862180.html which basically prove an interview between French journalists and Putin has been presented in a very partial way).
