And on a different but semi-related subject, does anyone else sometimes wonder why photo-bucket deletes some pics and not others? I had a photo deleted once, and some on this thread have been, but they seemed less revealing than some of the stuff that isn't deleted, to me.

Im not sure,. I dont post any revealing pcis but sure enough they done me several

Some of the pictures were removed for being too large...
Others were removed because they violated one of the rules that I established. Most of them were borderline, but in my opinion, violated the rules. Since I'm the one that fought to have babe threads, it's my responsibility that the rules are followed. If I've judged a picture to harshly, bummer... there are still plenty of nice pics left

And as I said, they were borderline, so no action is required against any poster. I don't feel people are trying to stretch the rules or post porn. If somebody did post a porn pic, they would have action taken against them... but all I've seen are people trying their best to post babes but stay within the letter of the law.

Oh... and GT. Some might consider mister skin a porn site. And as you know, posting pics/images that are links to porn site is not allowed. As much as there are some GREAT PICS there, please refrain from posting links to that site in the future. Thanks.

I right click a picture and save to my HD

I then go to open photobucket and add from there

Now, how does a "link" to this porn site which I saw naked pictures in other section but not the clothed sections occur?

I ask because again, my iggnorance, I figured "linking" would be like this:

When people post standard img tags, you can click on it, use properties, and see the address and that technically is a "link" to the site the picture came from. Which is why we don't allow images from porn sites.

However, you do get around this using your system, which is ok... with the exception of the image I mentioned.

In this case, MR SKIN.COM is PRINTED RIGHT ON THE PICTURE.

I did not realize Mr.Skin was aporn siteas I was not searching porn but now I know

In the future, I would assume a small Photoshop pitstop would rectify this issue and appease Photobucket as well

come on, aren't you a bit on the over protective side, especially concerning GT specifically and the site in question?

You should consider that it is not actually a link. it's is a reference that GT doesn't control.

if we really abide by this standard, posting a picture and mentioning that "you know, i heard she recently did playboy" could technically be interpreted as a reference/link, because the domain name is self evident.


Some of the sites that i use for pics are not limited to poly's modesty standards. Most are celeb blogs that also show boobs, nipples or worse - pics of britney when she was fat. I carefully select only those pics that are appropriate.

Do I really need open photoshop for each picture and remove the logo?

Not only is that tedious work that has to be done per pic (I already use batch processing to resize pics and compress them), but it would also be somewhat unfair to the sites I keep stealing the pics from.


It should be noted that many people are not photoshop experts, and instead of removing the logo would more likely forgo an otherwise perfectly legal post.

I understand the policy against porn sites, and I'm aware that mrskin is right there on the border. I understand that crazyhotxxxaction (i hope it's not a real site ) would be frowned upon.

I hope some sort of forgiving policy can be set when it's watermarks of not strict porn sites. At least for GT.

I have a very forgiving policy... I've taken no action except to point out not to use pics in the future from Mr. Skin if they still have the address printed on them.

Yes, there are many celeb, model, and other sites that might have some pics that wouldn't be acceptable here.
But that is not the primary purpose of those sites. Mr Skin on the other hand promotes itself as the place to find stars naked...

And yes, any idiot knows how to find "playboy" or just about any other porn site if they just think for a second.
However, we still do not want address of porn sites shown on this site. I don't think that's asking too much.

There's always a quick and dirty solution in such cases: open the pic in Paint before uploading to Photobucket or wherever, and blur out the site name.

Thats what I will do in future, for real, humor aside, not wanting any more clashes, a few indiscreet brushes yes but not looking to get a time out.
