Wierd Car Issue

Key stuck in the ignition and car is running

How can I turn the car off?

Start smashing the engine with an aluminum bat until it stops running.

disconnecting the power to the fuel pump got it to stop

Apparently this a common issue with Saturns POS

If the key is stuck in the ignition, just turn the key. The issue shouldn't be turning off the car, but removing that key, yes?

well i would have started with the fuses that can kill the engine, ya know the one that controls the alternator casue the car can run with out a battery if the alternator is in excellent shape.

and u didnt mention if it was a standard if this was the case simple method would be to pop the clutch and let it die. then remove the fuse so as u dont casue further damage until u get the key out.
