    Anyone is playing guitar?

I have two guitars at home; one acoustic(steel) and one classical(nylon & fingerpicking).

I really love my classical guitar(Yamaha C40); which is a beginner guitar, but at a very good price. (120$CDN).

I'm able to play some easy classical song, mostly unknown composers. Right now I'm learning a easy prelude (B Minor) from J.S. Bach. My goal would be to be able to play some fugue from bach.

I'm also playing some metal; Slayer, (Raining Blood) and I'm also learning the first part of one from Metallica.

So, is there any others guitar player? Is there any song that you could recommend me? Something for beginners.

I use Guitar Pro v.5, which is, IMO, a very good software.

              HELLO,

I have a STRAT I purchased in a box that said LEARN TO PLAY GUTTAR AND it came with a very very tiny AMPLIFIER but a huge huge power cord. I have learned to play the opening notes of the Pledge of Allegiance and am now moving on to Jimi Hendrix's entire catalogue. Needless to say this jump has given be self confidence and has also ruined my guitar and my fingers. I need help tuning it, please advise.

I have a Wechter acoustic. I started learning for real this summer, although I've been messing around with guitars since before that. I'm picking things up quickly because I have a lot of experience with string instruments.

Right now I'm mostly working on precise fingerpicking. I'm trying to accurately reproduce the Peter Paul and Mary version of Puff the Magic Dragon, for example. I've also been learning a little bit about some of the odder alternative tunings. (Work, by Jimmy Eat World, for example, uses Drop-C-Sharp tuning. I don't limit myself to playing acoustic songs - I just learn things that I like and think are doable.)

                    Have you tried Guitar Pro?

I recommend this software for any guitar player.

I also learn song on Standard tuning(classical) but also on 1/2 step down. (Metallica & Slayer).

Presently learning Fugue BWV 578 (Teh Little) on a classical guitar. I'm playing around 1hours/2hours a day.

Really, but really fun to play! I can't play it at full speed, and I don't know the full composition(yet); but I'm learning really fast.

I didn't found anyone who played it on a classical guitar, so here is the distortion version.

And the original version on orgue

About 1 minute into "Stairway to Heaven" on that Guitar Pro, when they add the line, is where it would start to help.

I've had and played an acoustic guitar for 5 years now (Simon & Patrick Luthier, from Quebec of all places) that sounds fantastic.

Prior to that I had an electric Ibanez JS2000 but that's in my basement back in Calgary. I only brought the acoustic out with me since I vastly prefer that. The tone is fantastic.

I play bass. But I've gotten too old to be hip, so I rarely play anymore.
