I think a nice simple "Betty Lou's Pies & Treats" will do.

You don't want to clutter up the name too much with multiple names, or it'll sound like a law firm.

At one of my more deranged moments, I was going to suggest reverse psychology with the name:

"Berry Lou's Worst Pies in the World."

It's a dangerous choice, but it would get people's attention -- a name people would always remember.

Is anyone else having the same reaction?
"Mary Jayne & Betty Lou's" sounds better, but I don't like it still as it comes across as awkward. Just using the last names would be better still -- maybe dropping the "'s" altogether too -- but still it's not a favourite of mine either.

No -- people will think junebugs are an ingredient of the pie.

Betty Lou's is a blatant rip off of Betty Crocker, who makes delicious processed crap for the red-eyed gargantuan machine that is General Mills. Betty Crocker also gets my girlfriends fat so I have to dump them for someone who knows how to limit herself to one twinky. Seriously, girls you're supposed to cook not eat.

Just because Betty Lou's is the name of the winning pie, doesn't mean it has to be the name of the business, too ...and yes, the 2-name thing is just not memorable.

Definitely "betty lou + junebug" (or any of the other varsions) = too cluttered.

Even "pies + treats" may be a bit much. I think the key element is "homemade"

I'll throw a few out there...

                    Junebug's Homemade Treats
                    Aunt Junebug's Prize Pies
                    Betty Lou's Prize Pies
Pie In The Sky (there's probably someone out there with a "TM" on it)

Personally, I think Aunt Junebug is the key. It sounds down-home, homemade and Southern. And it's easy to remember. Then your tagline becomes "Home of the (original, famous, prize-winning) Betty Lou's Buttermilk Pie".

                    Just a few thoughts.

If you were even a half-decent lover you would exercise them enough to stay slim, regardless of twinkies
