  • Widely known faces - part 1 of 4

Let's have a little game. I ran across an interesting picture of some supposedly well-known figures of the past and present, and thought we could take turns at naming as many of them as possible. The game comes in four installations, as the picture is too big to post in full, and if I decreased its size, the figures wouldn't be recognizable anymore.

    A couple of ground rules,

    * Post and identify one person at a time, and wait for others to post before identifying another one

    * If you don't think the person you're identifying is all too obvious to others, include a short description of where that person is in the picture

    * If at any time you don't quite understand or agree with the naming of one of the characters, say it, and we will have a discussion of whether or not that character is correctly identified

    Ok, I'll start.

Deng Xiaoping is seated in the middle right of the picture, wearing a yellow shirt.

Actually, Hitler is sitting at the bottom left of the picture.

            An exploding cigar, after.

The Lord Putin, bottom right corner, to continue picking the low-hanging fruit first.

I think it's Harry S. Truman in a purple jacket and with a teacup in front of him. He's looking up at the TV screen with the nuclear detonation on it.

Top row from left: Agathon, UR, Chegitz. Right to Che there is Kid (with the hat). Left to Agathon (with glasses) it's Wiglaf. The rest I'm not sure, have to think about it....
