You know, PC is just the first step to mutual respect, since it shows enough respect to actually care for the other side's sensitivities, even though it's not all the way through. The real problem is that a) some people stop at PC without going further and b) some people (bigots) don't even see the need for mutual respect between groups.

As for the greatest evil, the continued pouring of greenhouse gasses into our atmosphere would have to rank far higher than PC.

Maybe instead of shooting your mouth off, you should explore your own biases and prejudices and then if you find them to be illogical or irrational, end them.

Also, there has always been "political correctness" in speech: some term that you were supposed to use in connection to whatever that was the "right" term.
