  • Need surfing help

Here's the deal: i have a D-link wireless router which i use on 2 laptops and my main desktop PC.
Both Laptops connect just fine and enable me to surf. One of them connect through a lan cable and the other (the one i'm using now) connects wifi.
The Desktop also connects wifi, through one of those little key thingy plugged into a USB port. It seems to connect fine: the wireless connection icon in the system tray says that it's connected at 36Mbps. Problem is: i can't surf on this one. It's like the browser or any application trying to access the net doesn't recognize that connection and just won't use it. They all time out when trying to connect.
Windows update, my anti-virus, Firefox: none of them can access the net.
I have 1 other Network adapter on the PC but it's not connected, the icon in the system tray confirms this.
The Network connections window shows 3 connections
1 - The Wireless network which is fine
2 - The Network adapter which is not even connected. Not a problem.
3 - 1394 Connection. Don't know much about this one.

So there you have it. Apparently i'm connected to the network but i can't do anything with my connection.

And of course the message in the "while you're waiting" screen said: "It's not plugged in!"
    What?

The only way in which I can help with this is to provide a bump for you.

      Good luck.
