War hasn't been about bravery or courage since... well, ever.

But even less so since guns became part of the equation.
To us, it is the BEAST.

Ok, ok, I get it. For Americans war is not about glory and bravery, it's about attacking and slaughtering people from safe distance. Preferably from strategic bombers or drones. Right?

                  • hint: I disagree with US aggression as well.

The whole "BUT HE DOES IT" routine isn't going to work with me.

We are their main trade partner. A good share of their economy is tourism and resorts and war in the region doesn't help this sector of economy. Besides they have their own problems to mess in war with Russia over what? A territory which was their vassal state centuries ago. They have already lost their war over Crimea to Russia in 18th century as well as all other wars we had with each other. As for Russia vs. the entire NATO scenario - the war would go nuclear after the first 20 minutes of fighting. Thank you very much.

What makes you so sure the leadership of Russia or NATO would see advantage in going nuclear in the event of war? I doubt they would even consider directly attacking each others territory and would at worst participate in a limited proxy war in Ukraine. I'd be astonished if any NATO country would even go so far as to attack the Russian bases in Crimea. There were similar proxy wars throughout the Cold war and the leadership of both camps never escalated to nuclear, even when soviets clashed directly with westerners as in Korea. It's hard to imagine Putin, let alone timid souls like Obama and the other Nato leaders, signing off on direct attacks on the oppositions home territory under any conceivable circumstances. There simply would be nothing to gain from a "successful" attack on the oppositions home territories as a second strike countervalue retaliation from either side would be so devastating as to leave the "successful" first strike attacker overwhelmingly devastated, even wiped out, as a political entity. There's a reason the cold war never went nuclear despite all those hot-war proxy conflicts.
