Until I become "Foreign Affairs Boy" I'll have to postpone answering your question. IDF has no control of border policy, that is set by the ministry of home security, together with the MFA.

If you are really interested in getting a reason, and send me more info about your visit and papers, I'll be willing to spend some time researching. I doubt you really care though.

I know that border control often allows people who make lots of travel to arab countries, to get a seperate paper to stamp, because if you have an Israel stamp on your passport you're likely to get in trouble in arab states border control.

BTW, my passport is not even a year old, so it is up to date enough to get into the US. I would assume that that would be enough for you as well.
So you visited Israel in the last 12 months?

Your whole country is a crime.

Get off Arab land, you interloper.

I don't see why the Greeks should care about Israel, or indeed why anyone should. What has Israel ever done for Greece (except bastardize its wonderful culture with their stupid Abrahamic religion).

Need to go there by the end of the year. They advised me to get an extra visum to avoid any problems at the border because I had been to Egypt.

I found it a bit annoying but you guys are the boss over there, so I will comply.

I'd be perfectly happy swapping Italy for Turkey in the EU.

                It's all good again:

Not content with running a country and a media empire, Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has decided to take on another challenge - recording love songs.

Mr Berlusconi is co-writing a CD of love songs with a Neapolitan singer, according to reports in Italian daily La Repubblica.

Singer, Mariano Apicella told the paper: "We are working hard.

"I would like the CD to come out in December but it won't be easy, given the premier's many engagements."

This is not Mr Berlusconi's first foray into music making. He and Mr Apicella an album of Neapolitan ballads in 2003.

However, Mr Berlusconi did not sing on that album, which was called Meglio Una Canzone, or Better With Song.

Mr Apicella said the new CD would include 14 songs and that Mr Berlusconi would pen the lyrics, as well as singing.

He said the album would be all about love, and would not touch on politics.

Mr Berlusconi's office would not comment on the album, but the 71-year-old has often said he likes to stay up at night to compose Neapolitan love songs.

As a young man - before he became a media mogul and, later, a politician - Mr Berlusconi used to sing on a cruise ship.

the Israeli MFA advised you that?
                  very odd.
especially since we are at peace in egypt and people contstantly travel to Egypt and back.
do you have any of it in writing?

what sort of document did they require, and from who?

could it have been someone else (your firm) that initiated the idea of a different visa?

since when do we even require a visa?? :hmm:

anyways, if you'd be up for occipationist beer, it possibly could be arranged.
would be more problematic if its towards december.

It was the legal service of my firm that said this indeed. I assumed that it was common practise.

And it is for late this year or early next year... If the project isn't swapped. Lately these admin idiots seem to do that a lot...

Athens airport was touted as having the worst security in the 80's. Last time I paid attention though, in the 90's sometime, there had been a major turnaround. Athens boasted better security features (such as facial recognition) than we have at our airports now.

As for the Italien appeasement of the palestinians, no **** sherlock! This is only news to the mindless masses.
