Yeah, my opinion of McCain has really changed -- I remember saying 8 years or so ago, that if we had to have a Republican president, I think McCain would be a good choice. He seemed able to work with both parties and seemed like an honest, decent dude. Even not so long ago, he seemed to have at least kept himself above the Bush-dronism of the Republican party. My how times have changed. Totally negative campaign, with major echoes of Rove, and completely toeing the Bush/Cheney line -- he bears no resemblance to his former self.

Sadly, he tried it the "right" way and lost. This time he means to win.

Lieberman suggests Obama has not always 'put country first'

YORK, Pennsylvania (CNN) — John McCain used one of his largest and most ambitious town halls to date to brandish a pair of surrogates, Joe Lieberman and Tom Ridge, who may help him shore up support among independents in this fall battleground.

Lieberman then marshaled the audience by seeming to question Obama’s patriotism and commitment to bipartisanship in Washington.

"In my opinion, the choice could not be more clear, between one candidate John McCain who's had experience, been tested in war and tried in peace. Another candidate who has not,” Lieberman said to applause. “Between one candidate, John McCain who's always put the country first, worked across party lines to get things done, and one candidate who has not.”
I supposed reforming Senatorial ethics is an UnAmerican thing to do.

If you're going to question to patriotism of a person who has a very good chance of being the next President, you really should have something more than just naked innuendo. Lieberman should be ashamed of himself.

Why would he start being ashamed now?

I eagerly await my next opportunity to try and vote Lieberman out of office.

You act as if he owes any sort of loyalty to the Dems. After his last election I'm suprised he didn't switch parties due to the way your party treated him.
