We now have bacteria that eat cellulose and pee gasoline. We need to feed these little buggers!

The only effect the strategic petroleum reserve would ever have would be to reduce prices slightly for a little while. Now is as good a time as any. Probably better than most.

The Reserve was conceived of after the OPEC oil embargo in '73. If them Aarabbs ever try to cut off our oil again, we'll be ready.

Not really true. If you have a disaster like Katrina which knocks out refineries for a short while, then you use the reserve to make up for it during that short while. Using it right now doesn't really do much.

Because Iowa holds its primary first.

I saw it on two different T.V. shows. On Eco-Tech and another show just last week -- I believe it was a news show. It's a new technology, developed using genetically altered bacteria.

Well. If that's the case and gas can be made from garbage New Jersey will become the next oil exporting state.
