WRT "cheating on his wife while she was fighting cancer," wasn't Elizabeth Edwards diagnosed with cancer in 2007? Whereas supposedly she's known about the affair since '06 (and presumptively he didn't keep nailing this chick with his wife's knowledge). So this was only garden-variety scummy, it seems, not absolute POS scummy.

No, she was diagnosed with cancer in 2004 and it was treated. In 2007 it came back and has spread a bit. incurable at this point.
