I this movie. Haven't seen it in several years. A couple days ago, I was idly telling my wife I wanted to see it again. Lo and behold, it ran on SciFi tonght. It holds up pretty damn well.

This is IMHO a highly underrated movie. Great story, excellent script, and some very strong acting -- obviously Kevin Spacey, but also the ensemble cast in general. That ensemble includes Jeff Bridges, Alfre Woodard, Mary McCormack (from In Plain Sight and West Wing), and Conchata Ferrell. Hopeful, bittersweet, and (somewhat ironically, I guess) very human. Good stuff.

    That is all.

It was an interesting movie, but I don't remember how much it was different from the book.

I remember thinking this movie was "interesting" but don't have much of an opinion on it outside of that. I do remember that my dad hated it for some reason, though.

It has something in it.. the mood or melancholy factor created by the great soundtrack is what i remember best, along with Spaceys acting.

I didn't think it was great, but it wasn't bad.

I used to live in Kippax and it was ok
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

I thought it was a very good movie too and watched it. Spacey was excellent.
