  • So are cosmic rays, and yet we've detected them.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Fine, well, we'll bear that in mind when we're planning our strategy.

The "moving weely weely fast" actually makes them a lot easier to detect.

Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

            I hope you're right Kuci.

Don't worry, the world won't go under tomorrow - they are only testing.

It's first later they'll let them collide.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Even if they make a black hole when they do start the collisions we won't know for years. Only if they creat a strangelet or some of the other bizarre possibilities would we know right off.

Tomorrow signifies the end of construction and running up and the start of the machine.

                    • Couldn't they build the thing in a place where nobody'd care if something happened? Say, Africa?

yeah, but white dwarf has really been lacking in recent years. the only thing that's really worth reading in them are the painting articles and the golden daemon awards.
