InBev buying Anheuser-Busch for $52 billion
Belgian brewer InBev confirmed Monday that it will buy its U.S. rival Anheuser-Busch for $52 billion to create the world's largest brewer.

I don't drink beer, but I know that rice has no place in a proper beer. The only thing the Belgians can screw up is Busch Gardens.Comment

Actually if you have a strain of barley (such as six row) that is high in protein it can be useful to put in a bit of rice or corn to keep your beer from having too much protein in it.
Apparently pre-prohibition American beer was mostly lager with about 6-6.5% alcohol with a bit of corn or rice and plenty of hops to get plenty of bitterness and enough flavor.
That said, Bud still sucks
