I put as many automatic payments on my credit card as possible.

The only thing that comes out of my bank account monthly is the transit pass, at $110/mo...and they're backwards and don't support credit cards.

Everything else...(electricity, water, cable, internet, cell phones, etc) goes directly on the credit card.
