                              They only reported what the 'reliable source' said. Could be true, could be not, and it doesn't explain why Betancourt herself would participate in such a show (if the op didn't happen as she told) just right after she came free.

                                For those interested...it's not mentioned, in the translation for this Swiss claim, that the payment was supposedly made to the captured guerrilla commander "Cesar" not to the FARC organization.

                                In other words, more than a "ransom", the Swiss allegation is that it would be a bribe or reward to "Cesar", who was on the helicopter when this all took place.

                                If you want to look this up, it's even on Wikipedia, to make it easy.

                                Oh well, what the hell does it matter...Ingrid is free, and I say bye.
