    There's not a lot of torture in Palestine, you gotta give 'em that much


    If you behave yourself according to the guys in power, not a lot of torture, no.

    And if there is, our Western press seldom reports on it. The dozens of Fatah people who got their eyes gouged out with spoons while their families watched during last year's Hamas takeover was the rare exception.

    But then that wasn't torture as much as revenge.

          North Korea, because:

          1. One border is the most heavily guarded on the planet.
          2. The other border is ruled by evil ****s who will send you back to Dear Leader to get tortured to death if they catch you and offer cash rewards to the locals if they catch you.
          3. There is no third border.

          The other hell holes seem harder to run away from.

            None of those places compares to Minneapolis' warehouse district on a saturday night. I've never seen a more vivid glimpse of hell. *shudders*

              Jacksonville, FL isn't on the list.

                The East of the DRC is about the worst place on the planet. After that comes Somalia, Dafur and probably North Korea althought the info on that place is somewhat limited.

                Burma is clearly a bad palce to be but in general you don't walk down the street and get shot/raped.

                Iraq was bad but is improving, Zimbabwe could get as bad as the others but isn't there yet.

                To throw in an obscure one- Eritrea- over a 1000 people a month are fleeing that particular funzone
                Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.
