What sights would there be to see in Dubai from a tower? Seems pointless.

Now give me one of those in Vancouver or Calgary...

Asher is correct, all you see from any high point in Dubia is the slums for the army of workers building downtown and an expanse of desert pockmarked by industrial complexes.

Apparntly Moscow and NYC are going to be home to one of these as well.

Hmmm...is this the kind of silliness that happens when you give Arabs too much money? At least they know how to flash it, I suppose

            1) I'm terrified of heights (thank you Sears Tower)
            2) I can feel the subtle swaying of a tall building as if the Earth were coming undone underneath me (thank you again Sears Tower)
            3) I dislike vistas of broad, flat nothingness (thank you yet again Sears Tower).

Looking from a distance or from the bottom-up is fine, though.

So it's basically a huge screw turning in the vast wasteland of a worker's slum. How poignant.

The restaurant in Reunion Tower revolves slowly.
                  It doesn't whirl, like Theben.

                    I don't know

I can't think of many places in the US I wouldn't live, although I prefer the US coasts... (and probably NorthWest over East)
