Help rah quit smoking

rah wanted to create this thread himself, he confided in me...but it'd be constituted a "ME" thread and locked. Now that it is a "YOU" thread, we can have it exist.

Let's cheer rah on! He's quitting smoking, to save the environment.

I smoked a pack a day for 13 years. I haven't had a cig in 4 years now. I consider quiting smoking one of the easiest things I have ever done. I can understand if rah is having difficulty.

Aye, good luck! I used to smoke about a pack every two days when I was in Beijing. Now I've been off it for about two years now.

1 pack a day for only 13 years, Lightweight.

1-2 packs a day for over 30 years. And I've been smoking for over 40 years. So yes it's been tough.

But I'm using CHANTEX or whatever it's called.
It helps quite a bit. The side effects aren't too bad.
VIVID dreams, sometimes great sometime not so great.

Undocumented side effects.
depression and suicidal tendencies.
I figure get 5 million people to quick smoking (with or without drugs) and some one going to be depressed or suicidal.

I've been on the drug for 7 weeks and while the side effects don't thrill me, it's got to be better than the side effects of continuing to smoke. I'm still a bit irritable.

The people that know, come up to me and congratulate me on quiting, but not smoking for only 6 weeks after smoking for over 40 years isn't really quitting quite yet.
Ask me in 6 months to a year.

BUT your kind thoughts are appreciated.

and no stop smoking program will work if you don't really want to quit. This is probably my 15th or so try at quiting, but it's the first time I really do want to, so I'm optimistic. But 6 weeks is nothing.
