McCain's crazy pastor turned out to be worse. Additionally, a lot of people have seen Reverend Wright interviewed, and while they might think some of his ideas are crazy, he turns out to be a pretty decent sort of person, who is very charismatic. I think Youtube helped a lot. People who wondered about Wright's sermons could watch them in their entirety, and once you do that, a lot of the criticisms fall rather flat. He also did a really good interview with Bill Moyers (they showed a great pic of when President Johnson was undergoing an operation. Moyers was Johnson's press secretary, and standing in front of him was Wright, who was on the medical team. I think anyone who has seen that picture, of Wright tending the President during his military service cannot help but conclude that although Wright criticizes the US, he's the kind of guy who will put up and do his civic duty. What happened with Obama's crazy pastor? I would've thought that damaged him quite badly. I mean, McCain was consorting with nutty religious people as well, but you expect that from a Republican. Plus, they weren't close to him, personally.
Indeed, I think people will look back on this election as the Youtube election. It is now harder for the news media to misrepresent people by selective editing, since the unedited footage usually turns up on Youtube for everyone to see. For example, all the horse**** about Obama not doing your pledge properly or being sworn in on a Koran, is easily countered.Attached FilesOnly feebs vote.Comment
