I'm not a fan of piercings or tatoos. They aren't a deal breaker but they do detract from a woman's attractiveness IMO.
Libraries are state sanctioned, so they're technically engaged in privateering. - Felch

There are better places to pierce other than the belly button.
I only dated one woman with a belly button ring and she had a lot of issues with it and ended up ditching it later on.
I dated one with two nipple rings a tongue ring later on and I must say I loved the nipple rings but the tongue ring irritated me more than anything.

I don't think it's an issue of prudish, or shallow, at least not for me. I am definitely not a prude anyway Some things just are physically appealing, and some are not, to any given person.
Piercings, I think, are appealing to some in that they are a rebellion, or a way of physically expressing your willingness to undergo pain to make a certain look; that, or a symbol of 'belonging' to a certain group (ie, punk, or whatnot).
That's not interesting to me, so they are not appealing For the record, most jewelry isn't that appealing to me either, nor makeup - I prefer a more natural look.
Shallow of course isn't relevant here, because the question is simply is it appealing in and of itself - I certainly don't make my decisions on liking women (or men) solely based on appearance, or even much at all based on appearance. That does not mean I am not aware of whether an element of appearance is interesting or not

So you don't find people who alter their appearance to be different from the social norm attractive. That's kind of prudish don't you think?
Big earrings are terrifying though.
