I'm not comparing or slighting any version of any faith. Only pointing out to those that bring up points that they consider relevant are already answered.

As long as you don't consider the Bible to be the "word of God", and that anything written therein is to be taken at face value.
I'm consitently stupid- Japher I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Lynn pointed out that most children do believe in God, but as their intelligence develops they tend to have doubts or reject religion. Similarly, as average IQ in Western societies increased throught the 20th century, so did rates of atheism, he said.
If an IQ test does what it truly is supposed to do then the average IQ should not rise with time. A true IQ test should be education independent. If the test is not education independent then it's not truly an IQ test, it's an achievement test.
Also I find it difficult to believe that believers among academics are only in the single digits in the US. I've taught at two US universities, and my general impression is that statement is not likely to be true.

It's wrong. It is the prestigious National Academy where it is ~7%. Among the scientists as a whole it is ~40%. The issue is that those who are at the top of their fields seem to think that they don't need God.

Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

That is what Dawkins believes.
Aliens came to earth and seeded it with life.
So says Ben Stein and his parrot, Ben Kenobi. This is what Richard Dawkins actually says about that interview at his website:

The problem with the Dawkins' explanation is who made the aliens?
Just STFU, Ben(s). You have satiated my all-consuming desire for "evidence" - God did make you stupid.
