  • Any die hard Journey fans out there?

I started loving this band back when they first started out, yes I'm a 30 year Journey fan. I've been very resistant to try to even like the new guy but I have to say I have been impressed. Anyone else like them?

I've always thought Journey represented some of the worst of arena rock. Awesomely skilled individuals, amazing studio production, but totally but without soul.

However, I've heard their new tour (with the new lead singer, a Filipino) is refreshingly honest. lacking in pretense, and well worth checking out. They're out with Heart and Cheap Trick this summer.

I grew up listening to Journey. My very first cassette tape was Journey's album, "Departure" and to this day a great Journey song will bring joy to my heart.

However, I've been a bit caught up lately and haven't even investigated the new CD. It does look promising though

As a child of the 70's Journey was THE band! Yeah it's pretty hard to beat Lights. But I go back even further, you want soul get on you tube and listen to good morning girl, or patiently. My God can that man sing. I've been very much against anyone besides Steve Perry as the singer but their new guy matches him almost tone for tone. Perry has a very distinct sound on certain words and Arnel (new Guy) seems to match it. I walked into the other room when they were on the Ellen show to see if I could hear a difference....there wasn't much of one at all. I had to go and look to see which one was singing.

They are coming to San Antonio and Dallas along with Heart (another one of my favs) and Cheep Trick. I think it's going to be a show worth seeing.

              Journey rules!

I went to college in Champaign IL when local boys REO Speedwagon were just starting out. They were our hometown heroes -- at least through the first 2 albums. But that was their pre-arena period.

Loved Kevin Cronin and Gary Richrath he could really wale on the guitar! Yeah Roll with the Changes is one of my favorites. They played a reunion tour here last year but I had to work. Rock bands of the 70's who knew we'd be listening to them on Muzac one day

                    I like the album title:

Iain Banks missed deadline due to Civ | The eyes are the groin of the head. - Dwight Schrute.
