Alas I won't be able to drink too many as I am driving...I am on my way to Aachen!

Well it is impossible for me to do any other day...although it would appear I will be passing that way the following Sunday and the Sunday after...I will be seeing a lot of Belgium, and most of it at high speed

Yeah, I am at the moment, I am doing some work with a client in Germany so I drive there...so I drive through Belgium quite regularly...

Yeah, a place and time would be very handy. I am due to be on the tunnel at some time around late morning/noon. And then I have a 200km drive to Brussels...so at the earliest it will be some time around 14:00...and I don't want to leave too late as I have to go to Aachen and be up for work in the morning.

The place for meeting can be:
- On the steps of the Bourse-Beurs
- Somewhere near the grand place- groote markt
- Somewhere on the place Debrouckere
-...

For a drink, places to go:
Down town:
- La Lunette: not big choice of beers (30-40), but you can drink them in a special 1 liter glass called "lunette". Good for pictures to post here later, but you have to drink your liter fast if you like it cool.
- La Bécasse: typical old Brussels, but maybe too small if we are too many, and I was there so long ago, I don't know what it has become. Could be for old farts like me...
- Any other pub in downtown we can find.

A little farther away
- The Moeder Lambic (St Gilles). Pro: best choice of beers (400 kinds). Con: not in the best part of the city, not in city center and no terrasse. I've been there only once and don't remeber where it is exactly, so i'll need to search a little bit if we go there.
- The Belga (Ixelles). Pro: if it is sunny, it is in a nice calm place, a lot of place, a lot of (young) people, next to one the best 'fritures' of Brussels: that would be the best place to try belgian fries. Con: not in the city center, probably not big choice of beers. You don't go there to taste beer, but to spend a lazy afternoon, chatting with friends.
