  • How Long Will It Take For A Terrorist Attack?

It's a virtual certainty that it will happen. The only question is when.
They'll test whomever is the next USA prez.
I'm tempted to include an assasination attempt also, but we'll leave at just an attack on the U.S.

    I say, within 3-6 months.

Shame we live in these times, but I also feel we will be in imminent danger.

Possibly to keep things stirred up, possibly to test the waters of the next Presidency and administration.

Tough to say. If Obama wins, he'll do it himself in his first day in office, because he is, in fact, a terrorist. If McCain wins, the terrorists will piss themselves in fear because he's a manifestation of God's righteous anger on Earth, so it will have to wait until a Democrat gets elected again.

          Depends on who gets elected.

McCain: never, maybe after ~5 months

Obama: 3-4 months, if that long.

I'm not trying to sway votes, but if it's Obama, it will be sooner.
Some good points have already been made about the possibilities.

I wonder if it will be just the opposite. They might want to wait to see what Obama will do, and see if American policy changes.

With McCain, I think they know what they will get, and will want to make him look bad ASAP.

They know what a Republican reaction to another attack will be. That is the last thing they want.

Americans are being attacked by terrorists every day. Why should that change simply because we have a new President at the helm of the imperialist war machine?

... In one of his first acts after he secured the Democratic nomination for president of the US, Senator Barack Obama told Aipac, America's most powerful pro-Israel lobby, that he would do everything in his power to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon.

He repeated the word "everything" several times. Even allowing for the fact that he was also trying to dispel the impression that he was soft on Iran, it was strong language. ...

It's possible they could take that train of thought.
McCain doesn't have to look bad. Waiting won't tell them much about Obama. If he's leaning either way on any foreign decisions, the act forces his hand.
The only thing he can do to stave it off is if he decides to withdraw support of Israel, which would change my vote to being attacked by a banana.

The "attacked by a banana" isn't really what one would call a serious choice. Possible, but unlikely.
The question, how long before a major terrorist attack on the USA?

What do you mean? Republicans have not succeeded as they had hoped to, with the "war against terrorism." Bin Laden is still out and about, for example. The terrorists do not fear Republicans as much as Republicans like to think they do.
A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.
