Pffh. Like I have any prohibitions. If someone gave me a milligram of LSD I'd happily eat the damned thing (it would be a very interesting week though)

It would be fine spoken, it just doesn't work when written."I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow
"I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it." - Mark Twain

I'm not so sure that whole "think of them as property" thing is hardwired. Funny, I don't seem to have it.
It's the sort of thing you pick up, aneeshm. You may not notice yourself picking it up, and thus think it's "hardwired" but I think you're wrong about that.

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

I certainly don't think of women as property. If it is property it's not something I want, like owning a Kevin Costner "The Postman" DVD.
I think it's a cultural thing."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

It is cultural and decisions like this will support the idea/belief."I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow
"I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it." - Mark Twain
