No. Just that the fact that people before have tried to proclaim the end of the world before, does not mean it won't end. I believe it's closing in, but whether it's 5 year close or 100, I do not know. And I can with the Bible in my hand say I won't ever do either.
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made - Psalms 139.14a

It's not going to hit in 2029. That's when it's going to do it's very close pass by. We'll be able to see it.

What statistical base did they use to calculate those odds? It can't be something like, "Well, we've been in this situation 40,000 times, and the world's only be destroyed once."

So the story goes. I figure anything that big that dips under our gyosyncrynous(sp?) satellite orbit is possible to hit us.

Am I the only one who thinks its ironic some protestants believe in rapture? I mean with all that talk about how they are based on the bible...
Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.
The simple suggestion of a true change scandalizes and terrifies modern man. -Nicolás Gómez Dávila
