  • U.N. finds U.S. guilty of racism!

Just thought I'd preempt the result of this one. It's not a terribly difficult prediction to make...

The New York Sun covers America and the world from a base in New York. Its report comprises straightforward news dispatches and a lively editorial page…

Well, if the question is, "Does racism play a role in the presidential campaign?" then the answer is, of course, yes. Who would think otherwise?

Yup, two of the main candidates support racial preferences for non-whites.

What is worse. An international organization investigating possible racism or an Apolyton poster who purposely posts a false and misleading thread title.

Well, usually I see who started the thread to see how seriously I should take it

Does anyone really think that the U.N. will come up with a "nope, no racism here" verdict?

Does anyonce care what the U.N. says? They talk all the time, but as far as doing something, not many times.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Since you pointed out that there is racism here, at the very least in the form of affirmative action, why should the UN rule that there's no racism? Can't you masturbate by yourself?

Mr. Diene “is scheduled to hold meetings with representatives of the government, both at national and local levels, and with members of the legislative and judiciary branches,” the statement said. He will also hobnob with “non-governmental organizations, community members, representatives of political parties, academics, and other organizations and individuals working in the field of racism and discrimination.”

                        This raises two important questions:

                        1. Exactly how does one "hobnob"? The dictionary says it is "to mix socially", so I assume there is drinking involved.

                        2. What's the pay like in "the field of racism and discrimination"?

Definitely gonna be some confirmation bias, yeah.

But like DanS says, does anyone really think there is no racism here?
