Average survival rates are just that, of course - average - and someone with his access to medicine will certainly have a good chance to survive longer than that. Still... it sucks quite a bit to have something like this, particularly with the effects it can have on you mentally.
I'm sort of surprised they didn't find this earlier (unless it's really, really small)... someone his age and wealth should have regular MRI's to detect various things, including brain tumors, hematomas, strokes, etc. as well as alzheimer's. (Regular = once every year or few years, MRIs even for the wealthy are relatively hard to come by due to the small number of MRI machines). Perhaps this is a slow-growing variety, or a very early on tumor (though to be causing a seizure I think usually indicates not early on...)<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.
