Depends what you mean, really. If you don't vote for him because you feel his skin makes him unfit to be a good President, that's quite racist.

On the other hand, if we assume a lot of swing voters have just that idea, AND your main concern is just going for the dude or dudette in the primary with the best chances of eventually winning, I suppose it could be reduced to a matter of realism (or cynicism, if you will) rather than racism.

Why are dems running into the problem of many Hillary supporters saying they won't vote for Obama and many Obama supporters saying the same about Hillary? It may be that the blacks in the Obama crowd feel that they finally got a brotha on the ticket and if whitey gets the win then they're victims again and won't vote for their white oppressor, whoever that may be. The other side, the lesbo left Hillary people finally have someone with the right plumbing on the ticket and if a male wins then they are the victims of men yet again.

It may be that whoever wins the dems are screwed by their perpetual 'we're victims' status. Now they are victims of themselves. That makes this the worst possible competition for them because it turns two of their primary victimized voting blocks against each other.

If so, that's kinda funny. What do you think?

WTF are you trying to say? It seems like you are saying that Americans have a 19th century mentality, but the article you link only mentions 2 countries, one of which is your country and the other isn' America.

So far, all we've had as president is a human. If that's not bigoted against the rest of the world's aminal kingdom is, I don't know what is bigoted. We don't even allow them to register to vote! I think we need to start a movement.

Nixon went to China. That was a big deal.

I'm thinking one of those gentle giants that swim in the swamps of Florida and get chopped by motorboats all the time should be president. They have a legit beef.

We made Cheney VP. Isn't that enough for them?

I think plural voting is a good idea. I would tie it to inteligence rather than education or tax thought.

Or perhaps we should tie it to tax as well. I mean those people are giving more money to the state shouldn't they also have a bigger say? It might reduce tax evasion a bit.
