Some "June Gloom" here today -- overcast/foggy in the morning, burning off in the afternoon. It's not that unusual to see June Gloom begin in May.

It's finally warmed up in Vancouver after one of the coldest Aprils I can remember. It snowed three times last month including 4 inches a couple of weeks ago. There was frost on the ground just last week. Though it's been warm over the last 3 or so days I'm not putting away the winter gear until it's been like this for 2 weeks.

It was happily quite sunny and warm during the Walpurgis holiday. It's raining now...
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

in greece we're having a nice spring, temperatures in the 20s, looks like we'll have a cool summer.

in prague today it's looks ok from inside the airport, but no sun. as for madrid, i'll tell you in a few hours

finally, my parents (spending their pensions on tourism ) report from moscow that the weather is great there too. lots of sun, they feared it would be too cold.

oh, and i'll ask my brother about dublin and get back to you

It snowed yesterday . The low temperature over the weekend was maybe 8 deg C below normal.

But it's supposed to go up to +16 C tomorrow.

Glorious sunshine here! I'm going to go have a picnic!
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier
