    Anyone in Gent/Antwerp/Eindhoven/etc in the near future?

    I will be blazing a trail across Belgium/Netherlands between the Eurotunnel and Eindhoven a week on Monday evening (12-May-08). If anyone is in the vicinity and fancies a drink, post here!

    Also in the near future I will be passing via Brussels/Liège quite a lot in the near future too...so if you are around you crazy Belgians, give a post here!

        If you're just passing by on Monday next week, I don't think I can meet up (in case you were willing to risk having a drink with me).

        BTW, I don't think I understand your itinerary. You take the Eurostar to Calais and then hop on to a regular train that takes you to Ghent...?

            Oh dear. I strongly suggest you do not drive to Antwerp from Ghent during rush hour, at least if you intend to drive through the Kennedytunnel and/or the R1 beltway in Antwerp. Actually, I wouldn't really recommend it anywhere during daytime.

                The R1, particularly the Kennedytunnel, is worse. You basically don't want to drive via Antwerp if you don't have to.
