It'd almost certainly be more efficient to just jump multiple times.

Either way, however, I don't think they'd be very effective. (The US consumes 15 trillion times as much energy per year.)

Well so much for that plan.

You don't want all of them jumping at once! The Indians will just cancel out the force of the Chinese landing and maybe make the Himalayas taller.

What you need is to have the Indians on the shore ROWING SOUTH when the Chinese land.

Continuing your earlier estimations, 5cm/year north, assuming that continues despite more and more asiatic pressure (highly unlikely), and let's say 4,000 kms until it effectively splits Asia in two, give or take a bit. 20 years per meter, 4 million of those to go, so 80 million years until this happens, or likely more.

I'm assuming 80 million years is enough for some significant technological advancements... or at least make enough more people that jumping up and down will help

Oh geez. You mean this is going to be complicated?

1 billion oars might be a bit much to ask.

How about just building one giant lever, using Everest as a fulcrum...

Or, build a giant wedge (say, out of Tibet) for everyone to jump on.

Or just have everyone go up to mount everest and push from the north...

You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

No, but you definitely don't have a sense of humor. Definitely.

                                YOU must be Rain Man.
