Just read an article that the www was developed at CERN since the late 1980ies and launched 15 yrs ago (so before KH
) by one Brit and a Belgian guy. So while they didn't invent the internet (it was already around, but only for certain purposes, not for mass use) they laid the foundations to make it a real mass phenomenon.
I'm kinda worried though because they made the www standard accessible for basically everyone. They put a copyright on it to prevent that others get it and sell it for money, but they themselves gave it away for free.
Shouldn't we put a stop to this? I mean first they give away free stuff, but we all know it leads to gulags and everything.
