I think I'm getting sick.
Or maybe I just got a peanut stuck back there. It started hurting after I ate some crunchy peanut butter a few days ago. Sometimes I forget to chew.
Today I picked some avocados off the tree. There's maybe 30-40 of them just about ready to eat. Most years we only get a few off that tree. We've been rinsing out the mortar/grout buckets from the tile work under it, and it seems to really like all the water. (Not sure if it likes the mortar/grout, but it doesn't seem to have hurt.) We planted a lemon tree last year, and it's about 3 foot high and literally covered in lemons. It looks more like a pile of lemons than a tree. They're a weird sort of lemon (pinkish inside, greenish stripes along it's axis on the peel), and I have no idea if they're ripe or not. They're sweeter than regular lemons, but not as much juice.
Most of the tile work on the house is finished. Still have to grout the shower. I thought the walls were going to be the tough part, but since they're smooth finish and homogeneous layout, it was really easy. The floor with the rough surface and varied size pattern, was a lot tougher. Spent a week just cleaning those floor tiles
Finished up a lot of the painting, still more to do. (Main thing is trim and siding outside.) My Aunt likes glass brick and wainscoting... so it's there. Carpet is installed, almost all the floorboards and trim are finished. Still need to build a vanity for the bathroom, install a potty, and finish the walk-in closet.
Here's the master suite I've been living in during the construction. My Aunt will be claiming it once it's all done. (Talk about a lack of incentive to finish...

Still no potty:

The tile work, soap dishes will go in after the grout:

Glass brick lets light in from the skylights in the stairwell: (at least when there's light outside)

The tail end of the sunset out the window:

A better look at the view:

How I spend my weekends: (because the beach is too crowded, and I've been anti-social lately.
cool breeze coming in through the window and the sun shining = perfect nap.)
