All vegetables commercially available - including organic - are cloned for all intents and purposes, although they are not cloned in the same way Dolly was. Plants are easier to clone

      No need to.

I'm old enough to remember a ton of products that scientists assured us were safe only to find out several years later that they were somewhat wrong.

Nope, nothing wrong with food animals the way they are.

Snoopy - Yes, but the tomatoes suck nowadays. No flavour left in them.

I have a suspicion that a good deal of vegetables are essentially cloned.
Yes, that's been done for quite some time.

I wouldn't want to be the first.

I'd happily be the first for a million dollars.

Of course I'd eat a cloned animal. The scare is about genetically modified stuff, not cloning (making a copy).

I probably wouldn't. Not worried about safety and it could be delicious given the fact that animal selected to be cloned would probably be yummy.

I'm more of a worried about what consequences 100% homogenous animal farming could lead (loss of genes, diseases etc.)
