How many Chinese were killed during Mao's "Great Leap Forward"? 20 mil? Of course, he was a Communist, therefore not as evil as Hitler

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

Communism is the alternative to capitalism. There wouldn't be any communists if capitalism were satisfactory.

Given that the average post WW2 Italian government has lasted less then a year maybe the Italians are just happy that ol' Ber can at least make his government last a few years.

A stable gov't, focused at messing with the country's laws and institutions to the the leader's personal benefit. How great.

Because Faschism is a plague and is much worse than Communism.

Communism theoretically does not discriminate on the basis of race, language, sex and origin. Fascism does, fascism also links itself specifically to anti-democratic ways of doing things, while a "People's democracy" of Communism is perfectly plausible if not very likley, a "democratic faschism" is an oxymoron.

Also Fascist states are on average more aggressive than communist states. Communist states normaly just kill their own people.

Why is that? Can an Italian perhaps expalin this to me? Its realy hard to imagine why a wealthy, reasonably well educated Italian population can't reforme the Italian state assuming democracy is more than a fasade. Or that not one PM has been competent enough to hold the goverment together for a full term.

                        Italy should switch to presidentialism.

The president is the guy who gets 50%+1 of the votes.
if no one gets the majority, then there is a ballotage involving the 2 most voted candidates, winner becomes president.

He rules for 4 years, with the possibility of a re-election

                          Not in Europe.

And I think Berlusconi had enough opportunities to abuse his power as a PM already.

Besides, something most seem to overlook is that the longlevity of Berlusconi second government (his first fell just as quickly as any other) was partly due to a reformed electoral system, designed to weaken the strength of pesky, small parties. Berlusconi reversed the reform out of electoral motives...

My comment was aimed at his second sentence, and as such is quite true. If Capitalism were perfect, people wouldn't be looking for alternatives.

Don't get me wrong though - I'm not a communist even though I like red(heads).
