Hahaha, the Smart is actually in use by a real police force? That'll scare off the criminals

I love the '56 Ford though. It shows up in most of my favourite 50's US sci-fi movies
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
                Once again...

Kustom HR-4 Hand held Radar unit, heck, I used an exact one back in 1979

                            PR-24 or martial arts Tonfa

If you add a small ball bearing on the tip, greatly increases the force, carried one early 1980

                              SAP

This is a SAP, which differs from a Blackjack

A Blackjack actually flops and is leather encasing a floppy object

A SAP however is a Leather encase piece of non-flexible steel and will split a skull or break a wrist or collar bone very quickly.

These were very prevalent in the 1970's and before

Most officers carried them in a third pocket just below the normal seat pocket, where an officer merely reached behind himself and could retrieve very easily

                                KEL LITE

This was the precursor of the MAG LITE, this head is a lot larger and was often used in place of a nightstick. This lite came in 5 or 6 cell "D" Battery size.

I am pretty sure most departments have stopped using due to the damage done when used as an offensive or defensive weapon

My favorite weapon back in the day!
