French President Nicolas Sarkozy was the wormest supporter of the Greek positions, who said in his address that "We stand in solidarity with Greeks, we believe that a solution must be found. I have Hungarian roots, but I also have Greek roots and I fully assume them."
After this position, the (equivalent of) governor of Thessaloniki is proposing that a square in Thessaloniki is named after Sarkozy. Then again most people dont take him seriously so nothing is certain at the moment
Anyway, Sarkozy now has the thanks of greeks(although i can easily imagine taking this position just to piss off bush ), but i'm not sure what he meant about assuming his roots....
