So am I the only one in America who hadn't heard of these until that article in The Onion ?

It's actually just bland. I don't like it.

Dippin Dots are mostly available at museums where children are expected to be, and some malls. I've never seen them outside of those two locations.

I've also never had them I think kids like them because of the texture, but I love creamy ice cream texture (in a freezer that is at 0F or a bit above, and not the -5 or -10F of many freezers).

There's been a Dippin' Dots in the local mall for several years. I've had them. They're a tasty alternative, but overpriced.

I've seen them in touristy areas as well (not just museums). I remember one in the Pearl Street area in Boulder, Colorado, and on the Boardwalks in New Jersey.

I was at a spring training BB game a few weeks ago in Florida and that's the first time I've ever seen them. I must be old.

I don't like them as much as ice cream, but they are nice to buy for kids since they don't melt and make a big mess.

I grew up not too far from where they were created, so probably had my first exposure in the early 90's.

I've seen them in malls and at sporting events.

I've never been tempted to try them, but I've seen them for a few years now.

I've only seen them in the mall. I've tried them, they were only ok.
