There is no comet Kidicious, only the light and cleanisng fire of the Ori which envelops you and ascends you when otherwise only death would come to you.
But there is a passage in the Book of Origin, that tells of an end time:
"Life and death, light and darkness, hope and despair. The rift was created, and on that day, the Ori were born. But the hatred of those who strayed from the true path festered and bloomed in the dark corners of the Avernakis to which they have been cast! And consumed by this hatred, they poisoned all they touched, bringing death, darkness and despair. And the souls of their victims knew no peace, until the Ori came and whispered to them: 'Sleep, for the end draws near!' And on that day all will rejoice, when the Ori come and lay them low."
Let us hope the Ori come to punish the wicked soon.
Hallowed are the Ori!Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”

I'd always wanted to pick some deity from a D&D sourcebook to start worshipping, so I could then get offended when believers of other more established religions pretended their gods were any more real."And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." -- JFK Inaugural, 1961

Thinking about God worship..
You know how the main difference between an Atheist (or non-tibetan Buddhist) and a Christian, Muslim or Jew... is that the Atheist worships one less God. Everyone rejects lots and lots of Gods, but the Atheist rejects one more.
Maybe Atheists, being relatively unattached, could like, adopt a Deity for a day or something. Maybe, take one day each week, choose a God or Goddess, preferably a neglected one, and worship it for that day, or at least say a bed-time prayer.
I think that coming up with a justification to do such a thoroughly silly thing is unnecessary, but then again, silliness alone is sufficient to compel me .
But lets see, on the offchance that these Gods actually exist, you could really make their day or even eon by worshiping them. Imagine some ancient God, hasn't heard a prayer for a thousand years... then he hears one! He would be overjoyed, he might even bless you or send vikings to kill your enemies.
Like the Christian God, or Allah, they would be way overworked. They'd get so many prayers they'd not even appreciate the prayers they get. But if you pray to some neglected God, that God would really appreciate it, it would remember your prayer, and try to make good things happen for you. I mean the neglected God wont have much power but nor would that power be spread thinly. I'm pretty sure that by now Allah and that other God are just overwhelmed by apathy, imagine hearing peoples problems for 2000 years. They'd just not care anymore, too apathetic to use their power. Or like be afraid that if they perform a miracle, they'll just get MORE people telling them their problems. Screw that.
So share your love, pray to a God who will appreciate it and might actually do something about it.
And remember, the more you pray to a Deity, the less that Deity cares, so spread the prayer!

Richard Dawkins uses that in his speeches. Did you nick it from him?

Small Gods is one of his best, I agree.
