  • help me

I feel a knot in my belly, around 1-2inch down my navel. It hurt when I press on the area or when I make some kind of movement.

I felt the same kind of pain, some month ago, but it did go away after 30-60minutes. But now I'm having this pain... for 4 hours.

    Is this an hernia?

Probably not a hernia, not there.

    More likely an ulcer.

    Where are Poly's medical experts?

jokes aside, I would definitely get this one checked out. Odds are you'll be OK but it doesn't sound like you should be waiting it out too much.

it definitely not in the left part of my belly... it's lightly in the right part.

I drank a coffee and orange juice this morning, the pain appear 2 hours later... but it's the cause.

It could be ulcer but can you call the hospital, sometimes they can tell you something when they ask what your problem is. Just cold call them and tell them to get f'd. This way you will get better opinions as well as fun out of it.

I know It will be best if I go see a doctor; but you know how it is; I'm in the last part of my semester; and since our healthcare are free, I'll havehave to wait 4 to 6 hours if I go to emergency. (but the pain will probably go away).

And if I take a rendez-vous with my university(or any public) clinic. I'll be lucky if my rendez vous is this month.

For some temp relief, try laying on your stomach. If it is a duodenal ulcer, most form on the rear of the intestines. So laying on your tummy will slosh the acid to the front.

Seeking medical care -- rather than Poly opinions -- is probably also a really good idea.

Abdominal problems can be baaad news. I had some kind of a stone once, and the pain was agony for hours. they had to give me the most powerful tranquilliser in the hospital to put me out. When I finally passed out it was bliss....

But that sounds like either a gall stone (right side) or kidney stone (back). This is in the front center; so it's almost certainly not a stone.

Don't worry Cronos, your digestive system is just preparing the mother of all farts. Try not to shart, though. At least not in public, that would be embarrassing

(BTW, I wouldn't be surprised to see one day a "help me, I've been shot in the gut" thread here.)

Nope. Appendix is the right side. Diverticulitis is the left side. This is in the middle.

I stand by my two-bit diagnosis of duodenal ulcer.
