i do not condone the girls' actions and i think it is stupid to refuse to have anything to do with someone you suspect of something bad.

but i can explain their actions using the growing fanaticism and introvertedness of many orthodox jewish groups. they start deciding for themselves what they like and what they don't without accepting foreign authority and using very dubious qualifiers.

Well, he wasn´t it in the beginning, when he still believed he could convert the jews to the christian faith, but became it later when the jews he encountered kept resisting his efforts to turn them into faithful christians
