So I went to download the latest nVidia drivers and was astounded to see that my DL speed was 2.5MB/s. How could this be, I wondered, when I'm subscribed to the 10Mbit service? A quick speed test at Speakeasy.net gives a result of 30Mbit down! Any other Shaw users having this "problem"?

They probably enabled DOC2 (or higher) which would increase your download speed potentially. Or they just added some bandwidth ... Cable is usually less 'limited' than DSL, in that it can be higher than promised as well as lower, while DSL should generally be about what promised (if you're in range of the hub).<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.
